淡水老街, Danshui old street in Taipei, Taiwan remembers those good old days

淡水是個歷史悠久的小鎮,許多觀光客都聞名前來拜訪. 尋訪淡水風情要從淡水老街（捷運站西側中正路), 可在淡水老街上可見到許多古早式磚造的店舖售賣各種特殊風味

除了小吃,在那裡還可以買到便宜的土產. 鳳梨酥、牛轧糖、是絕對不能少的其中一樣送禮佳品.

Danshui is located near the outlet of the Danshui River into the Taiwan Strait, which is north of Taipei. To get there, just take the MRT! Danshui is well known for its diverse shops located on the Danshui old street.

This place is different from those night markets in Taiwan. Ok, actually Danshui is not a night market, is a street :p There are actually a lot of shops at the streets selling cooked food, fish ball soup, oily bean curd(阿給), iron egg, fish crackers and more. On second thought, maybe the street kind of stalls evolved into the night markets we see in Taiwan?

You have to buy the Taiwan snacks here. why? beacause most of them are freshly made in the shops on the old street. And freshly made pineapple tarts or mochi taste so much better then your usual imported snacks.

Danshui old street is very easy to find. Just 3 minutes walk from the MRT

You should go there after 11+am. As you can see, we are there too early and the street is still quite empty.

This Ah Gei is deep fried tofu that have been stuff with some noodles and fish.

The noodles taste very nice. I think is better then Ah Gei. The fish ball is also nice and stuff with juicy meal in the middle of the ball.
