A really Budget Hotel at Bandar Sunway, Sun Inns Hotel near Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Pyramid

Sun Inns hotel is a budget hotel nearby Sunway Pyramid and Sunway Lagoon. There are 2 branches there, Sun Inn Lagoon is nearer to Sunway pyramid and Sunway Lagoon while Sun Inns Mentari is opposite them which is about 15 minutes walk.

We chose Sun Inn Mentari as it looks newer and better than Sun In Lagoon on the website. I think this is the most budget hotel we ever tried before. This hotel is managed by Malay so interior design is also in malay style. Don’t like the decoration at all and the mirror faces the bed. I remove it when we sleep at night. One good thing about the location is that there are a lot of restaurant and Mcdonald is just opposite the hotel.

We paid for RM110 for an executive room with window. The room looks old but still acceptable as we only need a place to sleep and bath after the adventurous trip to Sunway Lagoon and shopping at Sunway Pyramid!!!

Your choice of budget hotel in Malacca, Kuala Lumpur – Hallmark Hotel is one of ours

We stayed at Hallmark hotel! only RM100 per night for a double room. It is clean, safe and decent hotel for tourist! And the most important is its strategic location, at Jalan Kubu which is 5-10 mins walking distance to Jonker street. Wide space of car park are available there, so you do not worry about the parking problem!

The only weakness is the bad sound insulation. You might be able to hear some sounds..not made by the gh**t !! The noise comes from outside and you can easily hear your neighbor talking or maybe snoring.  Another thing is the mini LCD TV, no remote control provided. You can only change the channel by pressing the button beside the TV!=p

Again, It is only RM100 per night, so do n0t expect too much! hehe..Here are pictures of Hallmark Hotel

Choose from the list of budget Hotel at Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia

Budget hotel are plenty in Kuala Lumpur. Are the quality of the hotels good? Well, it really depends on your expectations. Here are some budget hotels below RM200 at Bukit Bintang Area which you can consider for your next stay.

1. Bintang Warisan (From RM145) at Jalan Bukit Bintang (Tel: +60 3 2302 7555)
This is the nearest hotel to Sungei Wang among all below, exactly opposite the Bukit Bintang Plaza. Looks abit old from outside view. We tried to book this hotel but fully booked. A very popular budget hotel at Bukit Bintang. So sorry didnt get the photos of this hotel. Maybe we do so in our next trip

2. Alpha Genesis Hotel (from RM195) at Jalan Tengkat Tong Shin (Tel: 603-2141 2000 )
A standard hotel with all the basic amenities. Though the rate is higher than other budget hotel, Alpha Genesis Hotel is popular as well.

Budget hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Replica Inn Hotel

Replica Inn Hotel is located at Jalan Changkat Bukit Bintang which is 5 minutes walk from Bukit Bintan Monorail station and Opposite BB Plaza. If you come by the main road, you can alight once you see the KFC at the junction of Jalan Changkat Bukit Bintang and walk in less than 2 minutes to reach the hotel. The famous Alor Street is also just across the hotel where you can find yummy food.

The hotel is one of the better budget hotel we stayed in. The room is large, more then enough space to store all your shopping bags!

You can stay at Nova Hotel in Jalan Alor, Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia

We stayed at Nova hotel at about RM170 per night. We realized that actually you can just walk in the hotel and bargain for a lower rate (provided there is available room on that day). We get to know that another tenant stay at Nova hotel with RM120 per night only!

Anyway, this hotel is pretty clean, nice and good location. Spacious room with King size bed!!(Can fit in 3 person!!) Breakfast are provided but so so only. It is located at the end of Jalan Alor where you able to find nice local foods at night/mid-night. and it’s only 5-10 min walk along to Bintang Walk. All the popular shopping malls like Pavillion, Sg Wang, BB Plaza, Lot 10, Low Yat are around that area. Beside shopping centers, pubs and massage centers are easily found from there too!

Before we book this hotel, we heard some bad review about this hotel, saying that there are some indecent people around that area given a bad impression of that hotel. But we never see any, and never feel uneasy with this hotel surrounding. Maybe because we were asleep by the time of the havoc hours.

Overall for the price we are paying, everything is good, a decent hotel for travelers to stay!!

Recommend a place to stay in Taipei, Say Love Hotel – 璽愛旅店

Say Love hotel, 璽愛旅店 is located at Chung-Hsaio West Road, opposite the City Inn hotel. Why is the hotel named ‘Say Love’? I got not idea :p but that is a very sweet name

The hotel is located on the 3rd floor. No worries for those with large luggage like us, there is a lift up to the hotel. We book the 豪華廳房E room at about NT1780(Weekday) & NT1950 (Weekend). Something to highlight is, this room type do not have a window. There is a ‘fake’ glass window and you can see the corridor from there.

There is no wardrobe in the room. Only the hanger above the small fridge. The bathroom is big compare to City Inn hotel. The hotel is clean and service is fine.

We would recommend you to stay at this hotel for your next trip to Taipei.

A clean and affordable hotel in Taipei, City Inn Hotel – 新驿旅店

City Inn hotel is one of the most popular budget hotel in Taipei. When HolidayGirlGirl made the booking 3 months in advance, we could only reserve the room on a Thursday & Friday.  After we stayed there, we found out the many reasons why this is a very poplar hotel

Location

There are 2 branches of City Inn hotel – 前车站 and 后车站. We are lucky to get 前车站 which is nearer to Taipei Main station. Our room type is 时尚客房(City Inn Suite), slightly smaller than 双人套房(Twin Room). And as our room is one of the cheapest in this hotel so it doesn’t come with a WINDOW again! You get what you pay for :p

Security

Especially for those who travel alone or ladies, security of the hotel is important. The front office staff are very alert to anybody who walks in to the building and stop any intruder.

Cleanliness

The rooms are mostly/all in white color and well maintain and kept clean at all times.

At Xin Beitou, you can stay at Shan-Yue Hotspring Hotel, 山乐温泉饭店

We walk in to the hotel at Xin Beitou and managed to get a good rate of NT2800 for their ‘villa room’. The front office manager also threw in a free access to the hot spring center on the top of the hotel. Wooohooo. Open air hot spring. 山乐温泉饭店 is good value for money and one of the Hot spring hotel you can stay in Xin Beitou

Future star Hotel located right in middle of the shopping district at Ximending, Taiwan 明日大飯店

Future star hotel is located just beside Ximen MRT station. Take exit 6 of the MRT station and you reach the hotel within 2 minutes. The hotel is opposite the Ximen Red house.

The hotel is on the 7th floor and occupies 8th and 9th floor as well. At level 1 of the building, there is a massage center beside the lift. Hotel rooms are clean but the furniture are old as we stayed in the room that was not renovated :( It’s fine for us as long there are no bed bugs!! Anyway, we only stayed for one night. Note, only the rooms on the 7th floor are new. Our room cost NT1280.
