Although only partially opened it is already a place of excitement. In addition to the casino, people queue up to take a glimpse of the Universal Studio even before it is funtional.

There is another lift at the reception which is able to bring you up to the higher floors. Lucky me else I die having to carry my 15kg luggage up

If you get the room as the same level as the reception, good. Because those rooms are new
Note those on the higher floors are still not renovated yet!

Hey i stayed there before. Cheap, good and convenient.

Just make sure they give you the room at the same level as the reception else you have to lug your luggage upstairs. Or does the lift serve upstairs?

Hi Gary, yes, is near 美丽岛 station. Less than 5 minutes walk once you exit the MRT station. Can’t remember the exit number though. I was carrying/pulling a large luggage and made it to the hotel in 1 piece! Hotel is just 1 street behind the main road.

Their rack rates (publish rates) cost an average of SGD$400. If you are going with kids, you can visit the Festive hotel. Will provide more information when we get to stay there!

Making money is secondary, at least for now. Via our blog, we want to remember our nice holidays and also share it with everybody who loves to travel. Along the way, make new friends and share our travel dreams.

Tried Pho 24 or Pho 2000. Want to try something unconventional. Pho with clams. I was wondering with some friends along the street near the ben thanh market and bump into this eatery called Pho Ngheu Huong Thanh. Wow, pho with clams. Never heard of it before. Tried the spicy soup with clams and yes, yes. It taste really good and we like the clams fried with lemon grass and chilli and its not hot at all and goes so well with bread. Drank their signature beverage called this Green Ocean and mann, it was refreshing. Located at 276 Le Thanh Ton, district 1. HCMC.

I was surprise with the windowless room but is cheaper for a budget stay. Anyway, I am only back to the hotel to sleep at night so still all right for us.

I need to mention, the room we stay had no windows. It was thoughtful of the hotel to provide a air purifier. So do ask for a room with windows for those who needs ‘fresh’ air.

10-12pm 10am-12pm: Bus ride to Kenting (NT600 for return)
The driver reached our hotel exactly at 10pm. <– ur error still there! =x

yeah, i hope i’d enjoy my trip! im going next march.. but its still at the planning stg though.. have yet to book anything.. waiting for the airtix promos.. hee! cheers~

Yes is a nice place. Actually we went there only once for a morning breakfast. HolidayGirlGirl insist she wants to go there! aha

Sorry, I can’t remember if the food is Halal. Seating space looks to be about max 50. The restaurant is rather long in shape. You might need a external shelter to fit all your 100+ guest! Maybe the restaurant can help

My office in SaiGon overlooks the central Pho 24 kitchens on Hai Ba Trung Street and as their roof is open to the outside we can see right inside. This kitchen supplies all the Pho 24 in SaiGon.

The conditions are deplorable – dirty and with rats running around. Noodles are cooked late in the day, stored on open shelves in plastic bags. MOST restaurants keep noodles in a refrigerator. Then the noodles are distributed to their stores beginning around 05.00H in the morning.

The soup, or broth, is transported in containers that range from open plastic buckets to stainless steel containers.

This means the food you eat in their stores is old and NOT freshly cooked unlike places such as Pho 2000 (where Bill Clinton ate).

Not even the staff eat their noodles (which are free) – THEY ORDER IN!

The Pho 24 owners should know better as they were boat people who immigrated to Australia, so they should know what vlean food is.

The Pho 24 prices are also HIGHER than their competition by about 30%.

Yeah. Ah Meng sure brings back the memory for many,especially those who were kids during the 1980! Taking a picture with Ah Meng is a MUST if you visit the Zoo during those days.

Even though we visit the library about once a month, didn’t know that NLB has this ASK blog. Been add to our RSS reader now! So we can find facts of our other visits there!

There are still many interesting place in Singapore which some of us never been. So other than sharing our overseas holiday, we will also share our exciting trips to places in Singapore. To us, these visits can be a nice holiday experience as well. We keep those useful information coming!

I love your blog because it tempts me to get out there & explore all the interesting places & events happening! This post sure brings back childhood memories especially with the many photos- I miss the zoo! It’s been years since I last went there. I still remember seeing Ah Meng when I went as a child with my family and during school excursions : ). Did you know that Ah Meng was kept as a pet illegally for 11 years in Singapore until she was brought to the zoo in 1971?
