Some people will mistaken it as a fish ball but in actual fact, that is a rice ball! The rice is prepared with chicken stock and their secret recipe. Top it up with chicken meat and vegetables makes this a hearty meal.
Normal price for one rice ball is RM0.20. If you happen to pay more than that, better ask if you are over charge due to inflation! For a girl’s appetite, 5-6 rice balls will be enough. For guy maybe up to 12 or even more!

Again!! this is Rice ball..not Fish ball. Can you imagine how soft is it?

Yummy~!!

Yummy!! Another Must try in Malacca!!
There are 3 popular chicken rice ball restaurant at Jonker street.
1. Famosa Chicken Rice Ball (古城鸡饭)
It has been a long time since I been this Chicken Rice Ball. This cost of the food is pretty pricey compare to others and i hate the long Q for the food. Most of the tourist will go for this shop as they heard that it is the most original Malacca chicken rice ball. Thanks for the great advertisement by the tourist board :p

2. Hoe Kee Chicken Ball Rice (和记鸡饭)
I just tried this recently. The chicken and rice ball are normal. Heard that the black bean soup is nice but we don’t have the chance to taste it as they do not sell it on Sunday. I like the interior design and the furniture of the shop. It looks like a temple from outside and it has a feel of my grandmother’s old time. You better be early else you have to queue outside the shop too.

3. Chung Wah Hainanese Chicken Rice (中华餐室)
It is located beside the Malacca river and opposite the 三叔公.
This is still the best chicken rice ball for me. Nice chicken and nice rice ball!! Some people doesn’t like it as the chicken does not look presentable on the plate. But it’s acceptable for me. haha.. Most important is the food is yummy! The rice ball is abit oily but it taste good so i don’t mind again at all =p
