Fremantle Seafood Market serves a wide variety of fresh seafood in Singapore. Fremantle? Yes you heard me right, the name of the famous seafood market in Australia now in Singapore. I am not a lover of seafood but FRESH seafood is a big YES YES YES for me.
One fine day, I decided to drop by Fremantle Seafood Market at Clark Quay to eat seafood. Arrived at about 9pm and not much of the dinner crowd left. You can either tabao(buy back) fresh seafood in the shop or dine there. (Realize I forgot to take a picture of the restaurant )
Choose alfresco dining instead of sitting indoors so I can dine by the Singapore River. I saw their signage on All you can eat oyster for SGD$29.90 but it was not available for the day
There is a seafood platter which value for money at SGD$48
but decided to skip that as apart from Sashimi and Oyster, i don’t enjoy the rest of the seafood. So I ordered a dozen of Oysters!
Only 5 pieces of lemon for 12 Oysters and I asked for more lemon. The service staff gladly say SURE and came back with more lemons. The oyster taste fresh and don’t have the kind of fishy seafood smell which i totally hate! Thumbs up to the Oyster here.
Next, I had the Sashimi platter which consist of Salmon, Tuna and Snapper.
This dish didn’t meet up to my expectations. I can’t taste the freshness of the Sashimi and the portion is so little for the cost of SGD$25.
The dish that came along to save the Sashimi, is Fish and chips.
The fish taste very juicy, tender and fresh! One of the best I eaten! Fries is fries but the salad is not that great. Miss my Cedele!
Finish the meal with a glass of ice cool Heineken beer!
When I asked for the bill, the supervisor(looks like) asked if there are any feedback and suggestion for improvement. Is great to see that the restaurant values the customers’ feedback.
With that in mind and the oyster in my tummy, I will come back to Fremantle Seafood Market again soon.
