Most visitors arrive in Singapore before taking the ferry at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to Bintan.

-Departure from Singapore (Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal)
There are regular ferry service operated by Bintan resort Ferries that plies between Singapore, Bintan and Batam. The journey of ferry is about one hour from Singapore Tanah Merah ferry terminal to Bintan ferry terminal and cost $59.20/ 2 way for peak period and $48.20/2 way for off peak period
-Arrival at Bintan (Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal)
After clearing the immigration formalities and collecting the luggage at Bintan ferry terminal, you may see all the resorts counters at the arrival hall. You have to approach to your resort counter and they will provide the transport to your hotel.
There is a counter for Taxi at the end of the arrival hall. Depending on your bargaining powers, the price range for a car can be about SGD$80 for 4 hours or one-way ride to your hotel at SGD$22
Travel Document/Visa Requirements for Indonesia
The immigration procedures at the Ferry terminal are same as in any international airports. So, remember to bring along your passport.
Upon arrival at the Bintan Ferry terminal, you may see two counters for passport holders of South East Asia nations, who are not require Visa to enter Indonesia such as Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Philippines etc. And another counter was for nationalities, who have the facility of ‘Visa on arrival’.
