Jonker walk is one of the popular tourist attraction in Malacca. It is located at Jalan hang Jebat, across the Sungai Melaka (Malacca River). It is a night market and similar to 茨场街(Jalan Petaling) at Kuala Lumpur but it only opens on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. During day time, it is a busy street full of cars. A walk down the street and you can find some antique shops, souvenirs shop, and restaurants. No entry for cars from 6 pm to midnight on weekends and roadside stalls are setup by street vendors selling gift items, souvenirs and food!

While walking on the Jonker street on weekends one can notice some places having Karaoke sessions, dancing classes, Chinese classical instrumental shows and other activities. There is one popular pub in the middle of Jonker street called Geographer. A one man show band playing guitar and singing alone at the small stage. Sometimes there are some Ang moh who will dance in front of the stage.

Jonker Walk is the most famous and biggest night market in Malacca.
There are some night markets at residents area which is not recommended for tourist.
Yes, you may find a lot of ‘branded’ stuff there, remember to bargain as you can!!=D
