Visiting 3 places in Taipei within 1 day? Isn’t it kind of rush? We were thinking since Danshui, Xinbeitou and Shilin are all located on the north part of the MRT stations, we should have enough time to cover these 3 places in a day.
9am: Check out of Future Star Hotel
10am-10.35am: Take MRT to Danshui (NT50) – We had breakfast at Danshui Old street

There is a park behind the MRT station along the sea
This is the biggest starbuck in Taiwan i ever seen
Walk toward Starbucks, turn to the street on the left and you reach Dan Shui Old Street
1pm-1.20pm: Take ferry to Yu Ren Ma Tou (NT50)
2pm: Raining!!! Take bus (Red 26) back to Danshui Station (NT40) -20mins
2.30pm: Take MRT to Xinbeitou

3pm: Check in Hot spring hotel - Enjoy hot spring and relax
6.30pm-10.30pm : Take MRT to Shilin night market
You should visit Danshui after 11+am so that more shops are open. I also would prefer to have more time to relax at Xin Bei Tou and enjoy the hot spring. So Xin Bei Tou can be your destination in the middle of your Taiwan trip to rejuvenate your tired body from all the walking.
I will be going to Taipei at the end of June. I would like to know where do you buy the tickets to take the ferry to Yu Ren Ma Tou? Is it at Danshui Ma Tou? Where is it located?
Not sure if there are other options but I bought the ferry tickets just beside the jetty. Walk through the Danshui old street beside the river and you will not miss it.
