Naked man spotted by the pool at Resort World Sentosa, Singapore

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

I was walking around the Resort World Sentosa, from Hotel Michael to Casino and to Festive Hotel. I was happy taking pictures of the wonderful Resort World.

I arrived at Hard Rock Hotel and was able to look out to the crystal clear water in the swimming pool of Hard Rock Hotel. I started taking pictures and notice this man….

He seems to be wearing a paper underwear to swim and got out of the pool to dry up. Then out of the blue, off the underwear and he was standing in the open to dry himself. OMG… (more…)

The unofficial guide on how to get to Resort World Sentosa, Singapore

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

I encountered my fair share of difficulties in getting to Resort World Sentosa. So I offer some answers and tips to ensure you spend more time having fun in the Resort World than queuing up to get there.

  1. Sentosa Express (Monorail)
The Sentosa Express is located on the level 3 of Vivocity. Take the Monorail and alight at the Waterfront station which is right beside Resort World. This station name waterfront station is confusing to many people who keep asking the guide which station to alight. Why can’t they just call it Resort World Station?? Cost SGD$3
Advice: Do not take the Sentosa Express Train on the weekend. The train and station is way too small and you spend more time queuing.

The Beach Hut @ East Coast Park

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

I just love this place!!!! The beach Hut at East Coast Park. An ideal place for a great breakfast in a sunny morning, siting on the wooden benches enjoying your breakfast with the natural environment.

We had a great buffet breakfast for $10.90++ per person. The food are mixture of Asian and western style. Their breakfast hour is from 8-30am-11am. Be an early bird to grab a good sea view of seat and the enjoy fresh air!!

Eat Vietnamese food at Madam Saigon in Millenia Walk, Singapore

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

Craving for Vietnamese cuisine?? Looking for a light, clean, healthy meal?

There is one Vietnamense restaurant at Millenia walk. I would say it is a casual but cozy place for dine in.  Similar to Pho24, this restaurant serves vietnam local foods like wrapped spring rolls, fried spring rolls, beef noodles, chicken chop rice, and vietname local ice coffee!!!

We ordered the Special Beef Noodle Soup (Pho) which the waiter recommended as their popular main dish, grilled chicken chop rice, a wrapped chicken spring roll and ice coffee. Sadly to say, Madam Saigon does not serve Broken rice as what pho24 do and the beef noodle are not using the rice noodle as what we tasted in Vietnam. They only serve with normal ‘horfun’ in the soup.

beef-noodle

The chicken chop rice comes with sliced grilled chicken chop and steamed egg cake accompanied with a sweet and sour sauce and vegetable garnishing.

The spring roll was wrapped with the rice skin, vermicilli, chicken and mint leaves. It comes with a sweet and sour sauce. For me this dish always epitomizes healthy eating.  Lastly was my favourite ice blended coffee!!! It was not as good as the Trung NguyenVietnam coffee  but still happy to have it!

The taste of the food is normal but will prefer to fly to Vietnam to eat Vietnamese food if budget permits!

3 tips to ensure you get to enjoy your visit to the Singapore Zoo

Monday, August 17th, 2009

1. Be there early!
The Singapore Zoo is open from 8.30am to 6pm. HolidayBoyBoy and me reach there about 9.30am and finish our adventure about 2.30pm. Still we did not cover the entire Zoo. So go to the Zoo early and spend the whole day there to get what you paid for the admission ticket!
2. Take note of the show times and location
There are a few shows around the zoo and with proper planning, you are able to see all of them!

There are 3 shows presenting in Singapore Zoo we enjoyed
