A visit to the Singapore Zoo brings back memories of my visit when I was a little little baby. Remember Ah Meng, the orangutan? Singapore Zoo’s icon! His name will always be brought up with Singapore Zoo. There is also a Ah Meng Cafe in the Zoo but sorry, they don’t serve Ah Meng’s meal :p
So what can you see at the Zoo?

The dangerous animal - White Tiger

The fighter - Rhinoceros

Lonely Giraffe

The Lost - Zebra

The Gangsters - Penguins

The Beauty - Peacock

The Best Singer - Parrot

The Best Runner - Cheetah
Totally enjoyed the trip to the zoo!

Hi HolidayBoyBoy and HolidayGirlGirl (hahah!)
I’m Sharifah, a Librarian from National Library Board Singapore.
I love your blog because it tempts me to get out there & explore all the interesting places & events happening! This post sure brings back childhood memories especially with the many photos- I miss the zoo! It’s been years since I last went there. I still remember seeing Ah Meng when I went as a child with my family and during school excursions : ). Did you know that Ah Meng was kept as a pet illegally for 11 years in Singapore until she was brought to the zoo in 1971?
I found out about it from NLB’s ASK blog entry:
