About A Nice Holiday

About A Nice Holiday

Planning a trip shouldn’t feel
like a second job.

Smart, comfortable and stylish travel in Asia — for couples and families who’d rather be there than still researching it.

The story

It started with too many browser tabs.

AT has been travelling Asia for years — first as a couple, later with kids in tow. The destinations changed. The planning process never did. Hours deep in Reddit threads, cross-referencing hotel reviews, second-guessing itineraries, wondering whether the neighbourhood was actually good or just looked nice in photos.

Every trip started with the same question: why is this still so hard?

There was no shortage of travel content online. What was missing was something written by someone who’d actually done the trip with a toddler, or with a partner, or with both and was willing to give a straight answer. Not a list of 47 hotels. Not a vague “it depends.” Just: here’s what we’d do, here’s why, here’s what to watch out for.

“The best trips aren’t the ones where everything goes perfectly. They’re the ones where nothing goes wrong because someone did the planning properly.”

A Nice Holiday exists because good planning is the difference between a trip you talk about for years and one you’re relieved is over. We want to do the research so you don’t have to.

Who this is for

Couples and families who want to enjoy the trip, not just survive it.

You’re not looking for the cheapest option. You’re not after five-star-only either. You want to spend your money well, stay somewhere genuinely good, and arrive at each destination knowing what you’re doing.

You’ve got limited time whether that’s a week or two of annual leave or a holiday with kids who need an afternoon nap. You don’t want to waste a day in the wrong area or a night in the wrong hotel.

That’s exactly who we write for.

What you’ll find here

Everything you need to plan well — nothing you don’t.

We cover Asia end-to-end: where to stay, how to get around, what to eat, when to go, and whether the things everyone says you must do are actually worth it.

Honesty policy

We have affiliate links. Here’s what that means.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click through and book, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We use Booking.com, Agoda, Viator and a few others.

It doesn’t change what we recommend. We’d never point you toward a hotel we wouldn’t stay at ourselves, or an activity we wouldn’t book for our own kids. A bad recommendation costs us your trust, which is worth far more than any commission.

Our editorial standards

We only recommend places we’d genuinely book. If something has a significant downside, we say so. If a place is overrated, we say that too. Vague, positive-only content isn’t useful to anyone trying to make a real decision.

Sponsored content, when it exists, is always clearly labelled. Our hotel picks are never paid placements.

Work with us

Open to partnerships that make sense for our readers.

We work with hotels, tourism boards, travel brands and experience providers whose offering genuinely fits our audience: couples and families travelling Asia, mid to upper-market, focused on comfort and quality.

If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you.
